EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL:
Extra virgin olive oil is used as a cosmetic ingredient in many salon products for its gentle, moisturizing benefits. It is excellent for all skin types and is high in polyphenols which are believed to slow down the process of premature skin aging . This carrier oil is easily absorbed by the skin.
COCONUT OIL:
For this recipe I suggest using Liquid or Fractionated Coconut Oil. Coconut oil is great for dry cuticles because it has natural antifungal properties and is easily absorbed into the skin. It is a natural moisturizer and recommended for irritated and dry skin.
GRAPESEED OIL:
Grapeseed has a very light texture and is high in the antioxidant vitamin C and E. It is easily absorbed into the skin and helps the skin maintain its natural NMF , natural moisturizing factor. It is non-comedogenic ( does not clog pores) and is an anti-inflammatory.
VITAMIN E CAPSULE:
Vitamin E is often used in natural hair and skincare formulations. It is a powerful antioxidant and used as an emulsifier. Unfortunately there is an increase in the production of synthetic Vit E.
LEMON OIL:
Lemon oil helps helps soothe swollen or infected cuticles. It helps strengthen weak, dry and brittle nails.
LAVENDER OIL:
Lavender is used to balance all skin types. Sometimes irritated cuticles can be painful and lavender helps relieve minor pain and discomfort .It helps soften dry skin and increase circulation to the nail bed to promote nail growth.
