Infatuated with the  deep purple stone, I held it close listening to its whispers. It must come home with me. I was and still am mesmerized by the beauty of the many shades and types of amethyst. 

 

This gorgeous purple Amethyst crystal is considered a semi-precious stone which is embraced by the arts community. Creatively inspiring, its presence will help you use regular tools of your trade in new exciting ways. 

 

The versatile Amethyst assists you in your various life transitions. It helps heal a broken heart and clears anger and frustrations from your body. Instilling balance and infusing a calm ambiance into your meditation station, altar and general living space is on the list of amethyst qualities.

 

Over-indulgence can lead to becoming intoxicated or addicted. The addictions are not limited to alcohol. The word amethyst is derived from the Greek word  ametusthos which translates to "not intoxicated". This beautiful stone has been used for centuries for the protection of addictive behaviors.

 

 

SALON USE

 It felt so much like a companion to my lavender oil that I had to take it back to my salon.

 

 Hildegard von Bingen ( 1098-1179)  used the healing powers of Earth's natural resources. She documented the success of using amethyst to treat skin blemishes and tumors. Many skin conditions are related to stress and over-indulgence in foods, drink or activities that aggravate skin disorders. In the salon they are used to clear the skin of blemishes during facials. 

 

In the salon I used a carved amethyst wand to direct energy during facials to relax the muscles in the face, ensuring soft skin. Known as the stone of Peace, it is often used to create a relaxing, soothing atmosphere during spa services. This usage extends to the home use of this majestic purple healer. 
 

Hold the intention of de-stressing during meditation while holding a Palmstone  made of Amethyst in each hand. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Three Ways To Use

 Add an amethyst to your drinking water to help alleviate headaches. I also like to use the amethyst to help clear congestion of the skin and breakouts. Drinking amethyst water as a gem elixir is an excellent way to utilized its healing frequencies.

Adorn your nightstand with a cluster or collection of amethysts to help you sleep well, wake up on time and ward of nightmares. 

 

 

Hold an amethyst palmstone in each hand (or just one hand) during your meditation. Feel the energy of this lovely crystal begin to open your crown chakra and calm your mind of emotional disturbances.
